SUSTAINABLE CORE CLASSICS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH BOSSA DENIM
KELLY HARRINGTON
This season I partnered with Bossa to showcase some of their best sustainable denim fabrics. I designed & styled a 10 piece collection with longevity & timelessness in mind.
Back in February of this year, when I started talking about this project & before Covid reared it’s ugly head, I was already thinking about how to approach designing in a new way & taking note of what I actually wore in my wardrobe. The term ‘buy better buy less’ continues to resonate with me more & more. I evaluated what pieces I wore the most & why.
This collection was based on a working woman’s wardrobe and how every piece could be adaptable for everyday life. Pre-Covid, I would hop from the office to a meeting, to dinner or an event and take a 1hour 30 min train all the way home, a number of nights a week. My everyday life consisted of airport runs, spending hours at train stations & then going straight to meetings. So i wanted this collection to be adaptable, flexible, functional, Relatable and practical, all while keeping sustainable fabrics and processes in mind.
Sustainable yet fashionable, timeless, pieces designed for a working woman don’t have to be dull!
