MY SNEAKERS ARE MADE OF CORN!

Seriously my sneakers are made from corn! I know its mind blowing right!

The upper textile is a engineered knit made from corn fibre & my insole is made from algae bloom! The midsole is made from a technology called corn spring!

Infact the majority of my sneaker is made from renewable materials reducing dependency on petroleum-based materials. So if & when you have finished with your @hyloathletics sneakers they are recyclable.

The @hyloathletics sneaker is made with seven natural materials and weighing only 215g, perfect for everyday running, the gym & and like me a trip to the coffee shop!

Hylo have set out to use today's most innovative and sustainable natural materials!

If you got this far and if you are wondering what petroleum based materials are and why they are bad for the planet. Unlike natural fibres like cotton or wool products, petroleum based products are synthetic fabrics such as polyester, acrylic, nylon, spandex and acetate these are all made from non renewable fossil fuels & are not biodegradable. This means & the end of their life cycle these synthetic fabrics end up in our landfills and they stay there. It takes hundreds of years for them to begin to degrade.
