8 FAVOURITE SHOOT LOCATIONS IN LONDON

From one content creator to another here are my 8 favourite shoot locations in & around London.

Richmond Park

Richmond Park has protected status as an important habitat for wildlife and is a National Nature Reserve. It is one of London's eight Royal Parks and covers an area of 2,500 acres. Richmond park Is one of the most beautiful places!

The park is so huge that you'll have plenty of opportunities to take photos and you might not see another person during your visit, whatever time of day. Great to unwind, take in the beautiful surroundings and get away from the hustle.

GETTING THERE: RICHMOND STATION / DISTRICT LINE

OPENING TIMES: MON - SUNDAY 7.30am - 8pm

TOP TIP: Be careful of I and always check opening times as park closes occur during culling season. There are also very few places to change & few bathroom locations.

White Cube Gallery

The White Cube is one of the world's leading contemporary art galleries and is situated in Bermondsey, London. I love shooting at The White Cube mainly because I get to stroll around the exhibitions whilst having my picture taken at the same time!

GETTING THERE: LONDON BRIDGE

OPENING TIMES: MON - SUNDAY 10am - 4pm

COST: FREE

TOP TIP: The crowds can be off-putting so I would avoid weekends.

Portobello Road Market

Being a self confessed vintage freak, Portobello Road is one of my most visited places to pick up a bargain. I enjoy the quaint streets filled with brick-a-brack and the quirky stalls with all sorts of treasures.. Portobello hasn't changed much in the past twenty years which is why I love it. A true slice of London culture.

GETTING THERE: NOTTING HILL / GATE DISTRICT & CIRCLE LINE

OPENING TIMES: FRIDAYS ANTIQUE MARKET 8am - 1pm (WEATHER DEPENDANT)

COST: FREE

TOP TIP: Friday is the best day to go, but it will be crowded, and that's part of the charm. Some stall holders don't like you taking photos, some can get pretty angry and can be intimidating! However it's a public street so you are legally allowed to take photos and they shouldn't put you off

Tate Modern

The Tate Modern is Britain's national gallery of international modern art and forms part of the Tate group of museums.

The building itself is amazing, especially since the new ten-storey development 'Switch House' was created by Herzog & de Meuron architects. The Tate Modern is based in the former Bankside Power Station, in the Bankside area of the London Borough of Southwark. The stark architectural, clean lines and concrete walls are my favourite part!

GETTING THERE: BLACKFRIARS OR WATERLOO

OPENING TIMES: 10am - 6pm MONDAY TO FRIDAY. LATE NIGHTS ON FRIDAY & SATURDAY UNTIL 10pm

COST: PERMANENT EXHIBITIONS ARE FREE ALONG WITH ENTRANCE TO THE TATE (BUT DONATIONS ARE RECOMMENDED)

@tate

TOP TIP: Go early to avoid the large crowds.

London Bridge station

Redesigned by Grimshaw Architects, the newly renovated London Bridge is now larger than the pitch of Wembley stadium. The modernisation has increased capacity, so that the station can handle up to 90 million passengers per year.

The minimal esthetics, modern concrete walls and wooden panelling, alongside the space age shapes make this the perfect place for photoshoots.

GETTING THERE : LONDON BRIDGE

OPENING TIMES: 4am - 1pm MON - SATURDAY. 6am - 1pm SUNDAY

TOP TIP: Best shooting times are at the weekend, and avoid rush hour.

Coal Drops Yard

Coal Drops Yard is a group of converted and extended Victorian industrial buildings that were built to store and transfer coal, delivered by rail from northern England. Now, Coal Drops Yard is a newly converted hub for food lovers with plenty of quirky cafes, restaurants and a unique shopping experience. I really like the vibe around here with its little fairy lights and outdoor seating, it's my new favourite place to hang out.

GETTING THERE : KINGS CROSS STATION / ST PANCRAS

@coaldropsyard

TOP TIP: Wander down the canal to see what you can discover!

Barbican Estate

The Barbican Estate is one of the largest examples of the Brutalist style of architecture and represents an ideal for inner-city living. Designed in the 1950s by Chamberlin, Powell and Bon, the Barbican Estate offered a new vision for how high-density residential neighbourhoods could be built in the city. The Estate still stands as a residential complex of around 2,000 flats, maisonettes and houses within the City of London. The Barbican is one of my favourite places to shoot as no matter how many times I go, I still find a part that I haven't seen before!
